Risk-Free Simulation Platform: Finance Route is an educational financial market simulation and gamified portfolio app. All trading capital (100,000.00 €) is virtual. No real money is deposited, accepted, or transferred. No actual transactions occur on real exchanges.
1. Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Finance Route ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application (available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store) and our web application at financeroute.netlify.app.
We respect your privacy and are committed to complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Turkish KVKK regulations.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum personal information necessary to provide the simulation experience:
- Account Credentials: When you register via email, we store your email address and authentication tokens via Google Firebase Authentication.
- Display Name: A customizable pseudonym chosen by you for leaderboard and league participation.
- Anonymous / Guest Mode: If you choose "Guest Trader", no email or personal identity is required. A transient anonymous ID is assigned.
- Simulated Portfolio Data: Virtual transactions, watchlists, virtual balances, and trade history are stored locally in your device's SQLite database and optionally synced to your secure Cloud Firestore account.
- Technical Logs: Non-identifiable diagnostic metrics (app version, crash reports) used exclusively to resolve bugs.
3. Information We Strictly DO NOT Collect
- NO Real Bank Accounts or IBANs: We do not connect to real bank accounts or collect banking credentials.
- NO Credit or Debit Cards: No payment card information is ever requested or processed.
- NO Government IDs or SSNs: We never ask for identification documents.
- NO Biometric Data: Fingerprint or Face ID unlocking is handled exclusively on-device by your operating system's local secure enclave; we never have access to biometric data.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted industry-standard infrastructure providers:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, Cloud Firestore for user preferences, and cloud crash monitoring. Data is hosted in secure, certified data centers under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Financial Market Data Providers: We consume live/delayed public market ticker feeds for DAX 40, BIST 100, Crypto, and Commodities. No personal user data is transmitted to market data providers.
- Netlify Inc.: Provides secure SSL web hosting and CDN infrastructure for the web application.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & KVKK Compliance)
Under international privacy laws, you possess the following guaranteed rights:
- Right to Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request a copy of your stored profile data at any time.
- Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can update your display name and email directly in the app.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten", Art. 17 GDPR): You can permanently delete your account and all associated simulation data with one tap in Settings → "Delete Account", or by contacting us.
- In-App Simulation Reset: You can wipe your portfolio history and restore the 100,000 € cash balance anytime via Settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Finance Route does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete such data.
